Come and join Artisans for a day of creativity, fun, flavour and festivity in Queen Mother Square and The Duchess of Cornwall Inn. Artisan traders, special food and drinks available from The Duchess. 


Come and meet Dan Sandham, finalist on The Great Pottery Throwdown.


You can now book this exclusive event at the fair, organized by Art at the Duchess.

Enjoy a sparkling traditional afternoon tea in the dining room of The Duchess, accompanied by the enchanting music of guest harpist Natalia Rogers.

The cost is £18 per person, with a special offer on Prosecco. Reservations are available for 3 pm or 4:30 pm.

SATURDAY JULY 6TH - The Duchess's Summer Fair
  • Theme: The Duchess / Queen visiting the Summer Fair at The Duchess of Cornwall Inn
  • Size:   Any size no bigger than A3
  • Closing Date :  Wednesday July 3rd
  • Name and age to be clearly written on back of painting.
  • Ages : under 10's and over 10's
  • All entries to be  submitted to The Duchess of Cornwall Inn on Wednesday July 3rd between 4 and 5pm
  • All paintings will be displayed inside The Duchess during the fair and winners shown at the event.
  • Prizes given out on the day

Thursday July 11th

Come and enjoy a gourmet gala and Charity Auction.  Enjoy a special menu created by the chefs at The Duchess after which there will be a lively auction of donated work by artists and artisans, hotel breaks and much more all in aid of The Lantern Trust.

Our special guest auctioneer will be James Braxton from the Antiques Road Trip.

Hazy Duck Confit slow cooked duck confit, buttery mash, our own Outland Hazy IPA gravy, red cabbage

Roasted Sweet Potato & Chickpea Curry & or Mediterranean Veg Tart watercress & shallot salad, lemon dressing

Chicken Schnitzel  served ‘Holstein’ style, topped with anchovies, capers, fried egg & Badger beer gravy, with creamy mash and green beans

Tuna Niçoise flaked tuna, green beans, anchovies, potatoes, olives, tomato, soft boiled egg, & a lemon & garlic dressing
